This website is intended as an extensive resource site for healthcare professionals outside the US with an interest in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and its treatment with ACTEMRA®/RoACTEMRA® (tocilizumab), a first-in-class agent with a novel mechanism of action that targets the interleukin-6 (IL-6) receptor.
The product is known as RoACTEMRA in the EU and Mexico and as ACTEMRA in other countries.
This site contains, amongst other things, information on the mechanism of action of ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA, guides to dosing and administration, and efficacy and safety data from key Phase III clinical trials. There is also a useful resource section containing a range of downloadable materials on RA and ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA.
This website is based on the RoACTEMRA label in the EU and became live early in 2009, coinciding with the approval of ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA in Europe. In addition to the facilities already available, there are many others planned or under construction. Please keep coming back to the site for the latest information on ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA and RA.
