This section contains a range of useful practical aids to help optimise the use of ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA in treating patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Dosing poster

This chart provides an easy wall-mounted reference guide to indicate the quantity of ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA (and the combination of vial sizes) needed to achieve the recommended dose of 8 mg/kg for patients with any weight between 60–164 kg (patients below 60 kg receive a fixed dose of 480 mg).

Dose modifications of ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA are indicated when some laboratory values (neutrophils, platelets and liver enzymes) are increased/decreased beyond certain parameters. This reference card describes the laboratory parameters concerned and the actions to be taken if these are reached.

Nurse-patient flipchart

This A4 flipchart can be used by nurses to help explain to patients the principles of ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA treatment, when and how it is used, safety considerations and what to expect during treatment.

Step-by-step infusion instructions

This 14-page brochure provides a comprehensive and clear walk-through of how to administer ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA to patients with RA. It includes a dose-calculation chart and full instructions for infusion.

Video on the impact of RA

A short video illustrating the impact of RA on daily activities

This short (~4 minutes) video clip can be used to help convey the impact of untreated RA on the activities of daily living. A split-screen approach is used to compare and contrast the events in the life of the central character with and without RA. This technique helps show how the pain, fatigue and loss of functionality associated with RA can affect even the simplest of daily tasks with heartbreaking consequences.

Patient alert card

This pocket-sized card contains key safety information on ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA that can be carried around by a patient and shown to any doctor who may treat them for another condition. Space for recording dates of ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA treatment is included.

Patient safety brochure

This leaflet contains detailed safety information on ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA treatment and a copy may be provided to all patients to read in their own time.
