ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA (tocilizumab): Safety profile in RA biologic monotherapy

The safety profile of ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA has been well characterised and is stable over time.1,2

 

The safety of adding ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA to methotrexate (MTX) versus switching to ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA alone was evaluated in the ACT-RAY study.1

The adverse event (AE) profile with or without MTX at 24 weeks confirmed previous findings; infections were the most frequent AEs and serious AEs (SAEs).1

ACTEMRA/RoACTEMRA combined with MTX was associated more commonly with transaminase increases.3
